FIRST HEALTH AND SAFETY ARTICLE

Hello

Its been a long time coming but the branch have a page on  Health and Safety, I would like to welcome you all to your page. It's your  page because your ideas, comments, concerns are welcomed because health  and safety is every one's responsibility. Here are a few tips to be  going on with;

1) If you see an incident report it

2) If you have a  accident report it. If something is dangerous report it and if  possible remove the danger

3) Dont forget if you do not report a problem  it cannot be identified and dealt with

4) Report the incident/ accident  to your line manager and fill in a incident form either on- line  or the book, always keep a copy and record the reference  number ( this number maybe usefull in the future) if you need to claim for injury benefits

I want to make  the Health and Safety for all staff a priority as does The Trusts  Health and Safety Committee and The Joint Staff Health and Safety  Committee, I will try and keep this article as informative  as possible, but it would be nice to be able to report and  update you with items that help you to enjoy a safe workplace for every one.

Please remember Health and Safety at work is every one's right.

If you need any more information or help please don't hesitate see your local rep or contact me,

Bob Shakeshaft
