Rights of Women Training Courses : Domestic Violence / Sexual Violence / Asylum and Immigration / Trafficked women

Rights of Women works to attain justice and equality by informing, educating and empowering women on their legal rights. UNISON has been proud to work with Rights of Women and to support their work for many years.

Details of their new course programme are attached, and cover:

  • Taking action on domestic violence: using the law to protect women and children
  • Asylum and immigration law: protecting women from violence and securing their position in the UKSupporting survivors of domestic violence: domestic violence injunctions and the Domestic Violence Crime and Victims Act 2004
  • Supporting survivors of sexual violence: the Sexual Offences Act 2003 and the criminal justice system
  • Protecting women from persecution: supporting asylum-seeking women in the UK - In partnership with Asylum Aid
  • Supporting survivors of sexual violence and meeting the needs of trafficked women
  • Asylum and immigration law: protecting women from violence and securing their position in the UK
